As a avida Garmin user (Forerunner 965, Dakota and Edge 1040) I am thinking of adding a Zumo XT for little offroad navigation on my 4x4.

Welcome to the forum Andre. Have fun reading about the XT. There is a lot to like about it but a lot of frustrations with it as well.
