Zumo 346 Unit disconnect from mount and lost when riding

I had been driving along a motorway for a hour and the Zumo 346 was working perfectly - tracking and charging. Suddenly the unit flew off the mount and ended up god knows where. Has anyone else had a similar issue with the mount supplied with the Zumo 346?
