Power Question

In the owner's manual it says,

When installing the fuse cable, you must connect it to the red system power cable using solder and heat-shrink tubing.

I was just planning on using a wire connector, similar to the one shown below. Does anyone have any thoughts on why this would not work just as well?

Solder and heat shrink tape prevents vibration, corrosion, and moisture issues. Those would be a concern to me with the connectors. An electrical tape wrapping would help but it will degrade.
