Garmin Express v7.17.0 is available for PC today. If you would like to update to the latest version, please visit “About” within the Settings of the Express application and select “Check for Updates to Express.” This version includes the following changes:
Users can now include their device files when submitting logs for troubleshooting issues.
Resolved an issue with Manage Maps not displaying a checkmark to indicate maps are installed.
Fixed a crash that could potentially occur on the launch of Garmin Express.

No problems with v7.17.0 here. My XT connected fine. No anomalies noted as I reviewed the different functions. I haven't tried installing a map to a PC but have confirmed that the option is there.
I did not use the built-in updater. I downloaded then installed it manually.

It appears that v7.17.0.0 has been pulled by Garmin. On 2023/05/24 at 7:23 PM EST I downloaded v7.17.0.0 from the Garmin Express download website. Just now, 2023/05/26 at 7:06 PM EST I did the download again and received v7.16.3.0.

@Les, where did you see this. I just now download GE and the properties of the downloaded GarminExpress.exe file shows it is 7.16.3.0. Source https://www.garmin.com/en-US/software/express/windows/

You must have upgraded before Garmin reverted back to 7.16.3. I did, and see the same as you but folks who didn't are seeing 7.16.3 as "up to date". Apparently GE doesn't look for a version mismatch, just whether the installed one is older than the one they have on their server. I suspect that we should do a manual download/reinstall once Garmin re-releases 7.17.0.0. Hopefully they'll release it as a different version.
