Re: Link Googlemaps to GPX
gpsvisualizer.com was another online service for converting a Google Maps URL to a .gpx file but it no longer works. I don't know of any others. I tend to use Google Maps to create my routes and then manually duplicate them in BaseCamp.

Re: Link Googlemaps to GPX
I use Google My Maps and export the Google route as a KML/KMZ file. Then import to Basecamp. Been doing this for years.
Google My Maps will not allow the use of a URL.

Re: Link Googlemaps to GPX
Google greatly increased their fees for access to the Maps API about 5-6 years ago. That access used to be essentially free, but the cost became so great that many of the online converters using the API could not afford the cost. That is also why the Furkot trip planner switched from Google maps to OSM maps.
Google does not provide a way to export a route from Maps to a file, you can only share a link that works within the Maps app.
If you want to use Google to create a route from scratch, use mymaps.google.com (https://www.google.com/maps/d/), which allows saving the route as a kml or kmz file, which can be converted to a gpx with many tools, including Basecamp.
I'm not recommending mymaps.google.com, it's just the only way I'm aware of to produce a usable route file using a Google app.

I will say that if you export a KML/KMZ file from My Maps and import to Basecamp check you route to make sure it is what you originally did in My Maps. The map data sets between Basecamp and Google Maps are different and may yield different results.

Okay!
But I don't have to create. I have links already created , not from me, and I need to convert.

I was just throwing out options. I just saw a 2022 video on this app that might work for you. I don't know anything other than what was in the video. There may be a fee involved or not.
