I'm a Paramedic for my sins.
In my 20th year now and looking at giving it up in another 2 or 3 if possible.
It's certainly not the job I joined anymore, we're just everybody's whipping boys now. People can't get appointments 24/7 anywhere else, so they call us for the most ridiculous things going.
Even worse, is our lot feel obliged to send us to it!!!!

Know the feeling. Thankfully I spent my last three years on the response car, took great delight in telling folks they weren't getting a free ride to the hospital just because they couldn't be bothered to contact their GP

Our response cars are mixed into the rota. It's the nights that really do me in.
I've always done shift work, but it's starting to catch up with me now, big time

Even better our car was days only, another reason I went on to it, couldn't take the night shifts any more!

I really don't know how you guys put up with it. Looking at some of the TV programmes, I'd have a problem keeping my cool with some of the things the Ambulance service gets called out to!! You have my admiration.

did real estate till I was 55 than I retired having fun for the last 15 years and many more to go (I hope)

The only thing mine seem to be able to make, is a mess!!
