Hello everybody,
I bought zumo XT yesterday and everything works fine except it doesn’t show “Up head places” on the map. I enabled this function but it doesn’t work and the map is without this layer.
I installed latest updates and maps via Garmin Express on my Mac.
In the settings Map & Vehicle > Map layers > Up head places are selected and categories which I want is selected as well.
Do you know where can be a problem?
I reinstalled all maps and I did factory default.
myMaps are following:
CN EUROPE NTU 2023.10 ALL North
CN EUROPE NTU 2023.10 ALL South
TopoActive PS Europe 2021.20, Central
TopoActive PS Europe 2021.20, East
TopoActive PS Europe 2021.20, West
Europe DEM
CN Europe NTU 2023.10 Foursquare
Model: zumo XT
Hardvare version: V8 Pv3 DT R512S
Software version: 6.50
Thank you for help!

Re: Up ahead places missing on the map
Was you navigating at the time? or just riding along looking at the map?

Re: Up ahead places missing on the map
When I open the map and shift view somewhere and tap on layers button I can see that “Up head places” are inactive (grey text). It is strange…

Re: Up ahead places missing on the map
Have you also clicked the arrow to select what you want to show?

Re: Up ahead places missing on the map
Yes. Details are here: app.php/ZXT-P85
Note:
The "Roll Back Software" option in the Recovery Menu restores your device to its original firmware. In my case I wanted to revert from 6.50 to 6.40 but the "Roll Back Software" option put me at 6.30. I then used the "Install update from SD Card" option after copying the 6.40 .update file to it from the PC. I have not been able to confirm that reverting to 6.50 has resolved any of the issues that I had hoped it would. I suggest exhausting all other options before manually installing firmware.

Re: Up ahead places missing on the map
Mine does this too. The configured up ahead places are displayed on the map though, at least for certain zoom levels. They are gone when zoomed out too far. I find that having the up head layer enabled clutters the map too much. Instead, I tap the 3-dot button and the select up ahead places in there. Tap the desired up ahead category presents what is up ahead sort by distance. The drawback is that you can not tell how far off-route a listed location is.

Re: Up ahead places missing on the map
I'll assume you meant going back to 6.40 in the "6.50" that I've underlined and made bold in the quote above? If it was an it was to stop the routing stupidity when there's a waypoint / shaping point in the route, my experience of 6.40 is that it's there as wellPeobody wrote: ↑27 Aug 2022 18:26 The "Roll Back Software" option in the Recovery Menu restores your device to its original firmware.
