How do you "normally" joining the route from the middle?

Yes. I know that you can route and shape on the Zumo itself, but really, my fingers are too big, the screen is too sensitive (at times). Putting a long route together often results in making an error part way through and having to restart.
(Although the XT is better, once you get the idea that you put via points in first, then shape the route.)

It doesn't help that the XT still renames and moves via points if you change them to shaping points on the Xt screen
Have owned Zumo 550, 660 == Now have Zumo XT2, XT, 595, 590, Headache
Use Basecamp (mainly), MyRouteApp (sometimes), Competent with Tread for XT2, Can use Explore for XT - but it offers nothing that I want !
