Updates

I would appreciate the advice from those of you more knowledgeable than myself. I’m trying to update my Garmin ZUMO 396. I keep getting a notice “cannot communicate with update server”. Does this mean the updates are current? The device is connected to a strong Wi-Fi. Software version is 3.60. GPS Firmware is 6.17.14.
