Next action/turn distance is not showing

Hello all there, I''d like to describe you mine issue. This is not only mine, more users reported this on FB groups.

On the navigation screen you have blue info bar (ribbon) on the top of the screen. There should be current important infos about next junction, turn, roundabout exit... But I have there empty bar, or just info with the text "Continue on <name-of-street>" or "Continue on road B54". I have all updates, no custom maps, I've been trying to disable layer, topo maps... Only disabling GPS and simulate the trip - than it shows actions correctly.

Hi, friend of mine tested it today and he has not problem. But after he performed maps update (ignored until now), the problem raised as well.

I am now having the same problem since a recent update. I'm not sure if it was an update to the firmware (6.50) or the last map (CN North America NT 2023.10) that caused it.

The upper green text bar no longer shows the next action in the route, 1 in the image below, or distance to the next action in the route, 2 in the image below.

Has anyone else experienced this and if so how was it solved?

Try changing the display from 3-D to 2-D (North Up or TrackUp).

Thanks for the suggestion, but the 3D image I showed is not from my screen but rather from the Garmin XT manual. I used this to show the items that are missing from my screen.
I always display in 2D, so unfortunately that is not the reason it's malfunctioning.

Here's a screenshot of my unit. Note the lack of next turn info. I used to have this.

Have you update your XT? So then a soft or master reset can help.

PS: What is the different between a green or a blue bar????

Normally 'Continue to xxxx Street' is displayed when you are NOT(!) on the planned route ant therefor you get no 'next turn info'! These are only displayed when you're on the planned route...

@BrAtKo - Could it be that you have another routable map (OSM?) active? This often causes such problems!

Just tried it here with a simulated route (FW 6.50, Map 2023.10), no problems...

Hello this issue has disappeared itself on mine already.

One cool feature when navigating a route is that the top banner is the colour of the road sign, so "yellow" road = yellow banner. Never noticed it whilst using my XT in the UK, but see it in Europe. I initially thought something else was wrong with the XT, as well as the stupid recalculations if you dare go off route!
