Poor Bluetooth Quality

Post by DiavelDes »

I've had Zumo 550, 660 and now a Navigator VI and all have been plagued with poor Bluetooth quality, it does seem to depend on connection order whether I get very good quality or poor crackly quality. I'm now looking to move to the Zumo XT, have Garmin finally fixed the BT quality issues or do they still not admit its an issue and the XT suffers too?

Phone calls on through the XT are a bit crackly at times but the rest seems fine to me

I always take calls directly from the phone now

You have to use BT with the Zumo XT. I have found it to be very clear. - providing the BT devices are clear of the rear of the bike, where the ECU is located. It interferes with the reception very badly.
Have owned Zumo 550, 660 == Now have Zumo XT2, XT, 595, 590, Headache
Use Basecamp (mainly), MyRouteApp (sometimes), Competent with Tread for XT2, Can use Explore for XT - but it offers nothing that I want !

Links: Zumo 590/5 & BC . . . Zumo XT & BC

I get it crystal clear some times and crackly others, can be in the same day.
