MRA. Easy to plan routes on and transfer them to the Zumo. BC is a mystery to me.

I haven't really used MRA to its full potential as yet but its by far the easiest to use
I used it while out and about today as a bit of a test! creating a route while having a brew at a local biker cafe using my mobile phone and I must say it was pretty easy to figure out

Re: Which one is your favorite and most convenient?
Web Mydrive.tomtom.com I've been using until now I'm thinking to move on MRA. Explore is not route planner. I'm just working on my personal compare of all to plan same route on them. And export to xt.
And of course often I'm using directly XT for creating adventure trip. I need only few points where to stop that I send from mobile to device as waypoints. And I gets much much better results in compare with MRA's new feature called scenic roundtour.
My winner is still MyDrive.TomTom.com, I do not need to lot of functions for planning, just few points and let the XT calculate fancy route.
P.S. new beta version is at url plan.tomtom.com but missing option to share to gpx file, and another great app and web planner is mapy.cz with export to gpx

Thanks for the replies.
Basecamp is very powerful software. But, it needs a PC or a laptop. I may try MRA to be able making routes on a phone and send it to Garmin if need a quick one in the "field" and nothing else is available. I used to make some routes directly on the Garmin's screen, but it's not too convenient.

Explore still doesn't tick many of my boxes.
BC does everything that I need, but it would be nice to have a few other features.
MRA is getting close, but has not yet addressed the favourites/waypoints within routes issue. But you can use it when away from a pc. The killer blow is that I have yet to find an undo button !

Have owned Zumo 550, 660 == Now have Zumo XT2, XT, 595, 590, Headache
Use Basecamp (mainly), MyRouteApp (sometimes), Competent with Tread for XT2, Can use Explore for XT - but it offers nothing that I want !
Links: Zumo 590/5 & BC . . . Zumo XT & BC

You can try Mapy.cz web site and its mobile application as well (can export to GPX and share do Drive and download maps to be offline). I'm still not sure to buy MRA Lifetime or not until 3rd April is the offer 149EUR.

I've planned many tens of thousands of km's of routes using Furkot.

Re: Which one is your favorite and most convenient?
I've used Furkot for many years. After they left Google maps (or v/s), the mapping is not the same. Plus, it's easier to organize routes in Basecamp. I resisted to use BC for many years, but after watching this guy EZ Moto Tim bellow it became an eye-opener. Just a little learning curve and valla. No need the use of internet (slow in many hotels especially in Europe), and maps/roads details area (including unpaved) is no comparison to any others, especially new Furkot.
