Hi. I followed advice in another thread for getting two items to pair up which has worked for me (Call quality very crackly through XT though).
My question is this.
I can have the XT and PTB working fine together but I cannot pair the PBT to the phone on its own if I'm not using XT. I have to reinstall it through the Cardo app. Then if I decide to use the XT on another journey it won't find the PTB. I have to reinstall the PBT to the XT again.
I don't want to have to take my sat nav out with me every time I go out on the bike. I do use the PBT all the time in case I get a call from the wife (she worries when Im out, bless her).
Im probably doing something wrong somewhere but I did assume that I could use the PBT on its own when needed or have it connect to the XT when that was used without having to go through all this pairing up each time.
phone is an iPhone 8.
Hope I can get a point in the right direction.
Thanks

Re: XT and Packtalk bold
@Paulandhishonda Sorry for the delay! all work and no play at the min
Anyway if you pair the phone to the sat nav and the packtalk bold to the phone and the gps
You can then alter the bluetooth settings on your phone to decide which one you want to use for audio and calls
if you want to use the Zumo then go in to bluetooth setting and on the packtalk toggle the settings off
You will have to do this each time you want to change which device you want audio to go through
Get everything paired up and the phone on channel 1 and the gps on channel 2 on the packtalk then have a play with it all
PS just noticed you are in York! I am only in Hull so could meet at seaways one warm day if you get really stuck

Re: XT and Packtalk bold
Many thank for your reply Stu. I will give this a go.
Yes Seaways i visited there a couple of times when I bought the VFR at the end of last season. Never went there in my younger days. We tended to frequent Helmsley market place and hit the coast roads from there.
Certainly up for a meet whether I have any issues or not. The social side of motorcycling is something that is still very strong I’m glad to see.

Re: XT and Packtalk bold
It may help if your phone is not too old to enable duel Bluetooth on the phone. Bet to ggogle by model on how to do that

Re: XT and Packtalk bold
I think I have done what you are trying to do. I have my iPhone paired to my Packtalk, also my iPhone paired to the XT and the XT to the Packtalk. When I get a call, if the XT is connected, it comes via the XT (visual on screen), when on a different bike without my XT the call comes to the headset direct. I don't do anything with pairing it just works. Only thing is, I have phone on phone 1 and XT connected as phone 2, so not GPS. iPhone 12. Unless I have misunderstood what you are trying to do of course
