Re: CN NA 2023.10
I just downloaded this map update. Used Garmin Express to update maps on a Zumo590, and everything was fine. But when using Garmin Express to update a Nuvi 370, only the first character of street names is displayed. The remaining characters display as just dots:
I deleted the map file and re-installed it using a previous version map(latest I have from 2020.3) from Mapsource, and street names looked fine again. Then re-installed this latest map using MapSource instead of Garmin Express, but it still had the same problem. Any ideas of what might have changed/if it's possible to fix this?

Any unusual performance after any update is often resolved by a master reset so I'd try that first.

Tried resetting and clearing user data - no change. Then reset and cleared user-data, then downloaded the map once again - it's still the same. I had also tried installing this map on a second 370 that was last updated with 2022.20. Same situation where the 2022.20 map worked fine, but the new 2023.10 displays dots after the first character of street names.

I haven't installed this update yet, but have you tried changing your zoom level and see the results?
Could similar to how Basecamp works with maps. The more you zoom in, the more detail you can see.
Just a theory...

Thanks Electro - tried that just now, but unfortunately still looks to have the same problem.

Re: CN NA 2023.10
Just thought I'd give an update on this issue in case others run into a similar issue. Called Garmin and they offered no solutions other than to sell me a new GPS at a discount. However when attempting to place an order, they decided not to honor that offer...
Then this week I stumbled upon this forum thread while trying to figure out how to use some of the maps available from GPS File Depot: https://forums.gpsfiledepot.com/index.p ... 323.0.html. It's from quite a while ago, so apparently not a new issue. It hints that it's due to how the map files were built and a limitation on how lower case characters get handled on some units.
