XT Not Aquiring Satelites

I cracked the touchscreen on my XT some time ago. Although damaged, it worked fine.
I recently replaced the touchscreen and now it is not getting any satelite data. It is outdoors and the sky is absolutely clear. Indoor mode is shut off.
Does any one know if the antenna is in the touchscreen or the main board. There is one ribbon connector, it goes in one way and the display and touchscreen are working perfectly.
Any thoughts appreciated. If the antenna is in the touchscreen, I must have a bad one.

How long did you leave it outside? Anecdotally it can take up to 30 minutes to acquire the necessary satellite data if it has lost it all. I've seen nothing to suggest the antenna is in the screen itself.

If you've been disconnecting stuff you may find a master reset is needed.

I left it outdoors about 10 minutes, enough that it went into sleep mode.
I'll give 30 minutes a try.

Not sure if on the XT you can turn sleep mode off but I'd expect so, so do that first

FWIW, If you hold the power button, It will go into a Turn off mode and ask if that is what you want to do. Simply hitting the power button is actually sleep mode. It will time out of sleep mode and shut off after a period of time.

These things have a two year guarantee. Is it worth contacting Garmin, or have you voided the warranty when you had the screen replaced?
