Import from Micro SD Card

Hello folks,

Can anyone advise why, when I export a route file (Basecamp generated gpx file) from the Micro SD card to the internal memory of my XT, the route sometimes becomes corrupt, with random straight lines across certain parts of the route.

I've tried to attach a pdf to show what I mean.

Many thanks in advance.

All I see is a route, no straight lines? However this is normally a sign of a route created on one map being used with a different map, could that be the issue?

Hello sussamb,

The maps are both he same, I played with various settings / avoidances etc. etc. just to check that those in Basecamp are the same as on the XT and they seem to be 🤷‍♂️

That is odd and I can't see from the pic what could be causing it. Try going into settings on your Zumo and force a recalculation by switching from Fastest to Shortest route, assuming you have Fastest selected, if not switch to Fastest from Shortest. Does that remove the straight lines?

Hello sussamb,

I switched from fastest time to shortest distance on the XT, and the straight lines disappeared, but of course other parts of my "carefully planned" route (lol) also changed ! Mmmmm. 🤔

I will experiment further !! 🙄

Thanks for your help. 👍

If you now change back to Fastest you should see the correct route.
