Hi
I was wondering if Mapsource software comes with a new GPS purchase or is it something you need to purchase separately?

But beware that it is no longer supported by Garmin and is not compatible with most new devices.

Just Google Garmin MapSource and the link comes up, sorry don't seem able to copy and paste at the mo.

As posted above it's really not advised for new devices and if you have one you'll need to switch it from mtp mode to mass storage mode.

Here's the link to Mapsource.

Still useful if you have a Zumo 450/550. Plus I find it very helpful if I want to look at an imported GPX or track and I don't want to screw up my Basecamp database.

The 660 and 665 users should use Mapsource as well. Basecamp has been updated to support the units with the Trip Planner App - the 590, 595, XT(ish) and the 39x series. Also the BMW naviagtor V and VI (I think).

If you have one of these later versions of Zumo, you should really get the Free Basecamp.
