Moving my route with Basecamp

Post by iWIng »

I have been using the Zumo 550 with Mapsource for years. I just bought the Zumo XT and am getting used to Basecamp. One thing I haven't figured out to do is once I create a route, if I want to edit it I can't grab it to move it to a different road. I've tried the select tool like Mapsource but no go. What am I missing?
TIA

Do you mean you want to rubber band a route? BaseCamp works differently to MapSource so you need to relearn what you do. You might find this useful

You can rubber band a route by pressing alt and then click with the hand tool.

Ahhh, I see. Got it! Thanks for the tip, and I'll do some reading. As the saying goes, RTFM.

That's not always the case anymore.... not many are making manuals, and the ones that are don't seem to put enough information in them to actually be useful.

That is true. Garmin, Sena, et al manuals seem to be written by people who think their audience knows as much about the product as the developers/engineers/programmers. They assume the user has their expertise.

But, I'm segueing off topic on a personal complaint.

A friend of mine uses REVER which I have also then uses GPS Bable to load it to the GPS. Anyone try that? It's not working for me.
