XT mount accidentally unlocking during ride

This hasn't happened to me yet but each time I ride with the XT in the mount I'm getting 'undue anxiety'.
If the XT was to pop out of the mount it would probably be destroyed or ran over by a following vehicle etc.
Has anyone a simple solution to prevent this happening or am I maybe worried about something that won't happen?

I can see how that idea may cause undue anxiety, but other than one or two reports about the first release mount supposedly loosing the XT, no one has complained of this happening.
When I click mine in, I try to pull it away from the mount to check. No issues. There is apparently a rubber web that can be added to the mounted XT, but I never saw the need to get it.

Me for example i have bought the cover case.
In the cover case corner there is an hole were i instaqlled a string and fixed it on the mptorcycle.

Thanks. I do worry about the long term implications of having to remove the XT from my motorcycle every time I'm not close to it. Wear on the plastic lips that hold it to the mount etc.

I think Ram Mount- “Ram Tether” around $4 USD is the spiderweb rubber thing mentioned above that works to hold it. Someone posted on this forum or maybe elsewhere. Others epoxy a clip used for running zip ties then attaching a tether. I have neither and while not actual off-road, I’ve been on some rough unpaved roads without issue. I could understand the long term effects though. I remove mine just about whenever I get off the bike.

I can recommend the Zumo Lock for the XT, I have used it since I bought the XT as soon as it became available.
