Basecamp will popup a message that the XT3 is not officially supported. (Like the XT2)

You can transfer routes/track/waypoints to the XT3 from Basecamp. But you can not delete them from the device using Basecamp. That has to be done on the unit.

Also beware that if you have Tread enabled and allowed to sync, your routes will be modified. Just like with the XT2

Version V1.7.0.380 released

The most exciting new feature of this version, at least for me, that the XT3 is supported. Of course this new model will need extensive testing, but first impressions look good.

The full changelog can be found here: https://frankbijnen.github.io/TripManag ... story.html

@FrankB , do you recommended uninstalling a previous versions of TripManager before installing a newer one?

It's up to your preference. It should work without uninstalling, and with uninstalling.

Note that any settings you have made are always retained. As in: They are not uninstalled.
FYI: The settings are stored in the registry under: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\TDBware\TripManager

One query, if you have the Tread app active and "enable sharing" active, does Tripmanager and Tread being active conflict with each other?

Today I'm disappointed (trying to be very polite there) with the Tread app, it can't calculate routes, even though you can see on the graphics it knows which roads it is going to use.

I have limited experience, still testing with XT3. But first tests are promising. Trips transferred with TM remain intact even with Sync active. Until you modify them in Tread of course.

Maybe @jfheath can add a comment for the XT2?

Based on everything I’ve tested, TripManager and the Tread app can be used both independently and together.
At least in principle.

However, as has often been discussed, the interaction between the zumo XT2 and the Tread app tends to manipulate routes by shifting shaping points.
Unfortunately, this also happens with routes that have already been transferred flawlessly to the zumo XT2 via TripManager.
Even though there is a suggestion that the shifts are no longer quite as severe as they used to be.

Then there can be synchronization issues with the Tread App, as has also been discussed many times.
It is also relatively irrelevant how the routes were transferred to the navigation device, via SD card, GPX import, the Tread App, or TripManager, how ever.

In short, TripManager does not cause any issues when used in combination with the zumo XT2 and tread app; at least, I have not observed any.
The Tread App behaves as usual—sometimes causing problems, sometimes not, but, as always, this is independent of TripManager.

The takeaway is that TripManager helps identify problems, but it doesn’t cause any, quite the opposite, in fact.

On a steep learning curve and failing. I have routes in my XT2 which Basecamp shows are in the internal storage, and I've selected "XT2" with Trips / POI and GPX in the drop down but I cannot see the "system" folder that seems to be fundamental to the whole operation. How do I see it please?

Have you enabled the system folder view?
It's a bit hidden.

It's been mentioned somewhere before, but I can't find it right now - here's a quick guide:
  • Go to the map view
  • Tap the current speed there, even if it's 0
  • Then touch and hold the speed icon in the next screen - nearly 10 seconds
  • This will take you to an advanced menu
  • go to Configuration and settings
  • go to MTP Settings
  • Show .System - set to Enable

I missed that when setting it up, can now see them :D Thanks.

I like how I can easily delete duplicated trips, it feels much safer than doing it in the XT2!
