Nimrag. Yes. I try not to make negative comments that I cannot back up with evidence, and I always try to relate them to my experience.
But I think in future I may just refer to my 2TX Nimrag unit.

(Why does YouTube reverse the image anyway ?)

Actually - if anyone goes out and gets one of these XT3s - I have a couple of very simple test routes for UK maps (that do not need to be ridden). Just load, observe and get a few screen shots of behaviour - would be very useful to add to a series of pages for the forum that I have almost completed.
Have owned Zumo 550, 660 == Now have Zumo XT2, XT, 595, 590, Headache
Use Basecamp (mainly), MyRouteApp (sometimes), Competent with Tread for XT2, Can use Explore for XT - but it offers nothing that I want !

I looked last summer to upgrade from the XT to the XT2, now the XT3 is here....

Glad I didn't but aside from the bigger screen on the XT2 and XT3 not sure if there is any added value to having the XT3...

I do not need the performance package or the radar so as long as I just fill in addresses on the XT it seems to do what I need,...

My bike already gives me lean angle statistics. I'm not taking it to the drag strip. If I do a track day, I want somebody else holding the stopwatch. So I will stay tuned to this forum to see if the XT3 fixes any of the less desirable behaviors of my XT.

one major difference to the XT, is the internal processor on the XT3 is faster than the XT and XT2

Does not look like the resolution or screen size has changed from the XT3 (Large) to XT2
In that case it probably means that the processor has not changed either.

I suspect the launch follows the IT industry format of new model then rebake (rise repeat)
This could be the second rebake of the XT1
If that is the case and if it also is not compatible with basecamp (data varies) then it may be time to say goodbye to dedicated GPS and hello carplay

The XT3 has new hardware, the same as the Tread 2.
Faster CPU, more storage (32 -> 64 GB), ...

I think that I saw where the hardware mounts for the XT and XT2 and XT3 and XT3s are all interchangeable, in other words, you can you can mount an XT3 unit onto an XT or XT2 hardware mount. (I think )

and the XT3 and XT3s can take a 32gb or 64gb micro sd card but the cards must be formatted in FAT32, I think 32gb cards already come in FAT32 formatting but I don't know about the 64gb cards, if they are not in FAT32 then install the 64gb card into a PC card reader and reformat it from FAT64 to FAT32

"Not compatible with Basecamp" is a little misleading. What it means is not every feature on the XT (all models) can be programmed into a route using Basecamp. It does not mean you can't use BC to plan a route and transfer it to an XT. In fact, the XT3 product description mentions ability to import GPX files (which has always been true of the XT and XT2).

I've been using BC with an XT for a few years and many thousands of miles.

The power cable doesn't appear to have the voltage dropper in it. Does this mean they are now 12 volts at the unit instead of 5.2?
