I cannot remember that being an issue with the XT1. Instructions from the satnav cut the music - ie it put it on pause - but not so with the communication rider to pillion. I have Cardo Edge headsets and you can pair the headset to the XT as a phone, second phone, gps or bike I have my XT's paired as a second phone.
Maybe that is the difference - or maybe I didn't notice.
The same facility was available on the autocom wired units - it was determined by which socket you plugged your lead into.

This a table from the Cardo manual.

I cannot make a greate deal of sense from it - it looks as though someone has forgotten to label the rows - but it seems that there are different priorities from different sources.

Edit

Also - I note that in the Cardo App under the gear icon settings heading there is an option to adjust volume levels.
One of them is Audio Mixing Level - which describes itself as
"Audio mixing level is a percentage from the intercom volume during an active conversation."

You set a percentage background volume on a slider

Adjust the overall intercom / background audio music / fm ratio

The language makes that as clear as mud - but the slider is altering background vol percentage - so if you knock that down to near zero - it will just about cut out if you are talking.

Halo
I just want you to knew that I hade this XT2-"stacked" command-issue yesterday. Can“t remember what I did to get this odd experience to occur. But I think it might have something to do with a failing BT-connection. Ore - It may be that I deviate from the route. XT2 ask if I want to recalculate. I almost ALWAYS chose NO. Because I knew I will meat up to to route again - only choosing slightly different roads along the main route. Sometimes the "Swedisch Ingrid" stop giving prompts after those deviations. Maybe "she" stacks what "she" wanted to say. I will more carefully notice what going on next time it eventual happens.

I still have my hardwired Autocom Super Automatic working. XT2 connected to it with a BTM04 (BT v5.0) that I bought on eBay from SBS. And GW system hardwired to Autocom. Androidphon BT-connected to XT2. It al works fine.

Just want to state how much I like this XT2. Really bright screen. Good battery life. Toppo-map on board. I have learned to handel it. Trip-plan in BC. Begin to use TM to transfer routes and then get tracks on the fly. Almost no route-issues. Often deviate from routes like I describe above. Learned how to skip Via points driving along a route when I eventually make major changes. No RUT so far. Only thing I miss is route BT-transfer to other Nav-devices as on GZ595.

TM is a game changer - providing the XT2 is not allowed to sync.

I did some testing on that the other day to prove that it wasn't just a theory.

I came across the stacked instructiosn again last week. And yes - it coincided with the BT connection being dropped. It took it a long time to come back and when it did - the entire sequence of instructions being played one after the other until it caught up.
Why the BT was dropped, I don't know. IT wasn't tread synching - I don't have it set up like that.

If you notice the sound has dropped, then just reach round and press the power button to turn it off. The tunr it on again.

But yes - I agree - now I know how to make it behave, I like the XT2 and although I have the XT1 mount still available on the bike, the XT1 is rarely in it.

But Tread ? I wonder what it was that they were passing round when that was signed off.

I have music playing, to help drown out the tinnitus I have, so get a quick notification if the Bluetooth connection drops out for any length of time.

Sometimes a cloud can have a silver lining if you look hard enough :D

I experienced the stacked spoken directions again recently with a 2 day gap and a with a very simple BT setup.

Since an XT2 reset months ago, I have had my XT2 paired only with my Sena 10C headset - no phone, no Tread, no music. I do have my phone paired to the Sena. The Sena is also paired to a 2nd Sena for intercom with my pillion. Normally this works just fine for me.

On Sunday, while riding home from about 100 miles away, I had no need for directions so just had the XT2 map view open. Intercom was active with my pillion, no phone calls or anything else. Along the way, I became curious about what time we would reach home so on the XT2 I went back to the main screen, then where to and "go home". I got my arrival time but noticed that I was not getting spoken directions. At the time it was not important and I didn't give it further thought. On arrival I parked the bike and turned it off.

My next ride wasn't until Tuesday, this time alone so no intercom, and again starting with just map view. After a while I again when to where to and selected a different preconfigured destination. Immediately I started hearing the stacked directions from Sunday. The XT went through all of those and then continued with directions for my current ride as it normally would.
