Yes - I normally disallow the Zumo to access the internet /wifi, but I have 'system reset' my XT2 so many times in recent months (since I have been unable to ride and use it for real) - I note that it finds the available wifi networks, returns the setting to 'connect automatically' and it seems to have stored the password somewhere to allow auto re-connect. Although I note that it has found an unsecured network nearby - so it might have accessed that.

And of course - I forgot to untick the permission to allow wifi access - unless it did it using BT connected to my phone's wifi ????

The MAC address is available from Device Info. I could block it on the router - but if it finds that unsecured network, it isn't going through my router.

Garmin is a circus, and we're their trapeze artists trying to create our own safety nets.

Googling the Garmin Adventure Roads & Trails shows that this is a feature for the Tread sat nav, and appears to allow the user to show trails that are / are not applicable to their vehicle. For example by width / type of vehicle.

Can't see an option to change the vehicvle type on my XT2 and so am wondering if Garmin have released this maps to XT2 users by mistake?

It has been ticked as an active map on the device, and probably causing nav conflicts with the cn nav map when leaving both on. This must be an early 1st april?

Not sure if I have read about this elsewhere but my BMW Nav V seems not to update UK & Europe beyond 2026.2 on Mapinstall although Garmin Express is offering City Navigator UK & Ireland 2027.10 (but not mentioning Europe). I do have an sd card with lots of space. I don't want to lose Europe so may just keep 2026.20.
Usually find Mapinstall more reliable so strange its not even offering 2027.10 UK like with GE.
Any ideas?
