Have you clicked on 'Map Layers / Enable map features' ??
One the 590/5, that makes things available to choose from to put on the map display.
Maybe if you enable more than (say) 8, then the option to altert he dashboard will become available. If there are only 8 currently available, then there's no point in changing the dashboard, because there is nothing extra to add - it is already displaying everything that it has.

Sorry I am applying Zumo logic from other devices thinking that it may work with the 395 - but I've just discovered that I do have a pdf version of the manual for the 345/395 and this is what it shows - and it seems to back up my suggestion - a two stage process: Add map layers, then change the data field.
If you don't have the 395 manual, I cans end it to you - they were available fro free download at one time. PM me an email address. Its 3.5Mb.
