Based on some constructive initial feedback from @Peobody, @FrankB and others (thank you), Trk2Rt has been updated.

V3.1 is available at the same link https://github.com/SteveFollen/Trk2Rt/t ... r/Download

This version minimizes placing points at intersections, provides a the standard file save dialog (optionally) for file export, and better handles routes exported from Kruviger. Additional changes are noted in the updated user's manual.

Additional constructive feedback is encouraged.

@smfollen, thanks for Trk2Rt v3.1. I just did my first test of it, getting no further than an export, then realizing no save dialog and then not being able to figure out how to enable it (you said "optional", right?). What am I missing?

I'll be back with any additional comments once I get to play with the export.

I'm back, and thrilled with the results produced by v3.1 compared to v3.0. You many not know that @smfollen and I corresponded in PMs about a deviation introduced by v3.0. Interestingly, that deviation was different in the XT than in BC. Well, that deviation did not happen with v3.1. If there was a clapping-hands emoji, you would be looking at it now.

I am anxious to test Trk2Rt with more routes and to think about how to incorporate it into my route planning/creation routine.

@Peobody Good to hear that it is working better for you.
As for
... realizing no save dialog and then not being able to figure out how to enable it (you said "optional", right?). What am I missing?
The export button does a quick and simple default save. The File->Export menu item gives you full control with a standard file save dialog.

I normally "wing it" first myself, but then, as someone told me long ago "when all else fails, read the manual" :ugeek:
