Thank you very much @Rofor for your answer, so I'll stay at 6.20. I did 4000km with the XT this summer, I had to turn off the traffic information a few times, especially in Romania and Bulgaria, where it was the worst with information about closures. Zumo He surprised me with his actions a few times, even though I have garmines for 11 years

It requires a file called B348400.update which is supposed to be stored on your computer.

My copy was called B348400.update.signed - I renamed it but the update procedure didn't work.

If anyone has a copy of the B348400.update file on their PC, please let me know - I'd like to know what this ".signed" extension is about.

It is likely to be located in

C:\ProgramData\Garmin\CoreService\Downloads\PrimaryFirmware\PrimaryFirmware_PrimaryFirmware.006-B3484-00.2.90\gsup\006-B3484-00\2.90\full\rel\( long number )\B348400.update

@mzeist - pm me an email address. I've got a page in my document that I put together that you can have. I'm not going to post it here yet, because I haven't been able to verify that it works. I can verify that my XT didn't blow up. But it didn't go back to 2.90 either.

We can compare this with whatever @Mikul has.

Today, I discovered something really important. I found another way that doesn't work.

@mzeist In my case the rollback procedure is relatively simple as my previous version is 2.90 and you can roll back to the previous version directly from the XT menu. Being an IT specialist and knowing (for 11 years) that Garmin rather corrupts subsequent versions of the software, I withheld one of the updates and immediately switched to 6.20 (for a trial), hence my previous version is 2.90

@jfheath
Of course, I have a copy of the 2.90 software in my files "just in case". For Garmin devices I always keep the previous versions for my Fenix, Foreeunner, Edge or Oregon or BMW Navigator :)

I edited your previous post to the above and sent you a message.

If you want to downgrade from 6.3 to 6.2, your Zumo should be able to do that. @Mikul in the post above indicated that this was possible.
I have seen the screen where the Zumo XT gives that option, and it is mentioned here. But I have never done it with 6.3 to 6.2.

Maybe a call to Tech Support to confirm the technique ?

Going back to the original video - which I didn't watch all the way through before getting distracted - I have seen that behaviour before. I had just got off a ferry across the Clyde in Scotland, and then had to ignore a shaping point - which was a cafe along a track at the side of the road, and it was no longer there. The unit went crazy, just like your XT did. Continuing riding didn't cure it, which it should have done for a missed shaping point, and so I stopped at the road side, stopped the route, reloaded it and chose closest entry point and all was well.

Seeing your video reminded me. I have never seen that behaviour since - but I had reset my XT beforethe trip to get rid of all of the stuff that I had been doing during tests for the 'XT - Everything You Need to Know' document that is on this site. So it is quite likely that traffic was turned on again after the rest. I normally have it turned off.

The reason that I had it turned off was down to a simple incident with a 595 in Derbyshire. I was about to go onto the A624 heading north. The unit was trying to redirect me- it said that the A624 was closed. I didn't believe it due to the amount of traffic that was coming from the north. They could have all been coming back because the road was closed further up, but there were no road signs, so I decided to go anyway. I checked the AA road closure maps when I got home. It was the A624 south that was closed. My route didn't go along that bit, but the satnav hadn't distinguished between the bit that was closed and the route that I was taking.

So I decided that it wasn't worth having turned on.

Today, I discovered something really important. I found another way that doesn't work.

Sorry. I've see today that in pre-boot menu of Zumo XT it's possible downgrade directly to previus firmware without any file but only select preview firmware in menu. Sorry for my post and Thanks again

I just have. My XT's been playing up, rebooting, not showing maps and so on, so in desperation I rolled back to 6.2, and that fixed all of the problems. I can't remember how I got to the screens in your link, mind, but when I did they worked a treat!
