Even TopoActive PS EU (Garmin's official product!) When it is active on its own without a road map, cannot calculate and display routes. Take the test.

This is intended by Garmin. The suffix 'PS' aka Powersports Edition indicated, that this is an overlay map without routing. Even the normal non 'PS' TopoActive has removed automotive routing by Garmin.

My understanding is that it is not the new firmware that's preventing maps being saved to the computer but the latest Garmin Express.

Just like ConiKost mentioned - the new firmware 5.90 'triggers' Garmin Express to use the new map administration and this new map administration prevents the user from installing the maps also to pc/mac. It's not only no the newest 7.4.0.0., but also on the former 7.3.1.0. version of GE...

After the uppgrade to 5.90 all contour lines on topo maps is gone, how to roll back to 2.90?

Update: The bug about OSM maps is being investigated by Garmin, as also Garmin TOPO maps stopped working..

I have found the option to display or to not display the 'contour lines' under 'Map Layers'.
I do not remember seeing this option before.
