Roads closed - they're not

My XT keeps trying to divert me saying the road ahead is closed, there's no option to tell it not to... and the roads weren't closed, it did it 3 times on a recent day trip, really annoying.
Is there a way to turn off this automatic feature and get it to ask me if I want to recalculate or just turn off closed roads all together?

You can set it in Traffic settings to not reroute automatically

does that affect rerouting options when I take a different route by choice or a wrong turn when it will auto reroute?

No, only traffic re-routing

I've looked under Traffic and can't see anything about re-routing... where exactly is the setting?

I've tried changing settings but it still reroutes me when it thinks the road is closed... the road is never closed.

What did you change them to, to ask before rerouting? If so then perhaps on the XT that setting isn't being applied to closed roads.

yes, changed to 'Ask'... it doesn't ask and just changes my route automatically.

Probably worth making the case to Garmin, sounds like a software issue with the XT
