Sharing a route via Bluetooth

I've been trying to share a route from my XT to a zumo 396 without success.
Followed the Garmin procedure but cannot get the route to transfer from the XT to the 396, is there some trick to it?

Sorry, but i never tried.

What i said was what i saw on a Dutch Garmin Facebook group.

If you have Twitter, ask Garmin. They usually answer.

I know this reply is no help but I tried numerous times last week to transfer from my XT to a mates 590, never managed to get it to work!

I did try switching off both devices and then back on but it made no difference. I just tried doing a hard reset on both Zumos and that did the trick!
I've now successfully shared several routes between the two devices without any problems.

Worth saying that after a software update a master reset is advisable, and definitely if you're experiencing any issues

How do you do a master reset on the XT?
