Hi...I’d like to use basecamp to create a route for an upcoming trip to Scotland. I’ve created a day-by-day set of waypoints, but I cant figure out a way to upload it to the zumo..or convert it to a route.

Hello Bob, welcome to the forum. Have you looked on You tube at this video? There's several on there but I found this to be helpful.

You're welcome fella, here's another Youtube video worth looking at.
Basecamp is a PITA until something clicks  , then it becomes a very useful tool.

A set of waypoints is not a route. You can copy the points to the zumo but trust me, it's a bitch to connect the dots using the zumo. Use Base Camp to make the points into a route then transfer the route. All the waypoints will go too.

I NEVER use waypoints for routing. The zumo acts stupid with waypoints in routes. Use shaping or via points for routing. I reserve waypoints for start or destination only. Doing this may create 3 different routes for a single day of riding but trust me, sorting out the retard-ness of the zumo on the fly will completely ruin the trip. I would just name my routes Tues 1, Tues 2, etc.

http://www.newenglandriders.org/GPS/GPS.htm is the best tutorial I've found, it made everything click for me.
