Zumo XT intermiten shuting off

I have a Zumo XT that shuts off and restarts while riding. It does this even when not plugged in to power so I think it must be internal. I have not opened it up to check the battery yet. When it shuts off I done get the lost power message it just goes dark and then says it will restart.
Has anyone had this problem?

Welcome to the forum @STJ. I have not had this issue myself, but you can find a few posts on that subject here. Some are related to the power supply which seems to be not your case. Yours could be battery related or a hardware issue.

Does your XT restart and work fine for a while or keep restarting? If the latter, it might be a low battery.
On restart does it resume a route you are following - like it goes into standby - or is it a complete cold restart?

Overheating is another possibility I think.

A tap or long press (?) on the battery indicator gets you some more battery status info. (I don't have an XT any more. I have an XT2, but not with me.)
There are also diagnostic screens which can tell you more - long press where the speed indication is if I remember correctly.

I have an XT2 that does the same as your XT, black screen from working ok, no warning message, and then it restarts. Only does it in the car and I'm convinced that it's temperature related.

I restarts and resumes the route and following but su
huts down often. Seems like the longer the ride goes the more often it shuts down.
Long press on the batt brings up lots of info
the battery section says OK Cap; batt Current 0mA;
.Battery voltage 3.85V; Batt Capacity 93

Not sure if all that is correct but it looks OK
