Hello eveyone.
I'm In a mess because my XT had failed somewhat updating firmware and now is on a "boot loop bricked state".
I managed to boot to the service menu, and therefore realized that it will be possible to fix doing an update from SD card stored firmware file.
I will open a ticket with Garmin support, but it doesn't harm if someone can share a 6.60 version (or previous one, I can update using express afterwards).
Just in a rush for this to resolve, because I have an event in 20 days that requires the use of GPS and I need mine in operational state.
Tks in advance.
P.D.: I tried "rollback software" and can't access via USB, so my only option is the firmware file+SD update.
Ximo.

You don't need a USB cable to roll back the system software. The system keeps a copy of the previous software in Internal Storage. You only need an image on the SD card if you want to install a particualr version of the system software. 'Roll Back' is option B03. It is B02 that needs the software on an SD card.
I put together a HowTo which includes this operation. It is here :
app.php/ZXT-P85
And you can do it with the XT in your hand or on the bike cradle . Once installed, you can use Express to update it to the latest version.
BUT - I would hold in the power button for a long time. Press it in and keep it pressed in. It takes about 15 seconds before the screen goes black - ignore any other screens. If that doesn't allow it to start up, then make sure it is fully charge: Plug it into a wall socket and leave it charging for a long time. Do not say that you want to connect it to a computer.
Then try the roll back as decribed in the link. Latest verison available is 6.70 (3 may 2026)
Have owned Zumo 550, 660 == Now have Zumo XT2, XT, 595, 590, Headache
Use Basecamp (mainly), MyRouteApp (sometimes), Competent with Tread for XT2, Can use Explore for XT - but it offers nothing that I want !

Thanks I did this as 1st option but no result.
also tried to switch boot partition from a to b and neither boots.
As far as I can't access internal memory of the device I need to use the update from SD card as the only option to put alltogether to the device to run, and then I guess updating to normal behavior.
I will do a full backup of th .System folder of the internal memory for the future
The firmware is located there.
