My xt2 & my xt crashed occasionally for no apparent reason.
Well…. Whatever the reason is Garmin haven’t fixed it. They’ve included it

Could you describe that in more detail?Multirider wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2026 5:21 pm Unfortunately sync to Tread was not enabled and therefore is not blameable even though it’s very clunky, not user friendly and looks like software from 20yrs ago.
Crashes are very often software issues (even if the hardware could be the cause). This was particularly observable with the zumo XT2.Multirider wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2026 5:21 pm Unlikely to be a simple software solution or they would have fixed it years ago when the original XT was crashing regularly.
Strange, I don’t understand this statement either.raza wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2026 5:59 pm I also didn't sync to Tread, connected to a Samsung Galaxy S24+ phone.
What does “manufacturer-supplied power supplies” mean?Multirider wrote: Sat Apr 18, 2026 1:18 pm ... on two different bikes, both Ducati’s with manufacturer supplied power supplies straight from the wiring harness ...

That makes sense—I’m familiar with the Ducati Navi connection, but I haven’t tried it yet (it’s still on my to-do list).Multirider wrote: Sat Apr 18, 2026 2:32 pm Thanks,
In my case. The Ducati comes with a specific switched connection for a satnav unit. So you’re not hunting around trying to pick up 12v. It’s “manufactured for that purpose.
That’s a good idea to rule out issues with the Tread app for now, even though I’d love to use the Tread app idea myself, if it worked reliably.Multirider wrote: Sat Apr 18, 2026 2:32 pm Not synced to tread app. Ie tread app not installed. Garmin unit used as stand alone
It’s interesting that you’re having the same reboot issues with all three Zomos; I haven’t read about anything like that before.Multirider wrote: Sat Apr 18, 2026 2:32 pm New device using proven components : my suggestion after owning all three is perhaps those proven components sadly include one which is proven to fail. Even the testers at MCN ended up sending one back for a new screen after failure if I remember correctly.
