Good morning to all!
If I remember correctly (I'm overland so do not have the 395 with me) the 395 used to display on the map, while on a route, the icons for fuel stations, rest stops etc. I did not see this on the XT2 on yesterday's trip. Did not find the setting for making them visible. Am I missing something?
As usual, big TIA for your kind help!

Re: Icons on map
Two settings that might help:
Settings -> Map Display -> Map Layers -> Up Ahead Places -> Customize Up Ahead
- Campgrounds nd National Parks are also under Map Layers
Settings -> Driver Assistance -> Break Planning -> Upcoming Services

What @smfollen said.
I noticed on one of my Zumos that waypoints (= favourites / saved) only showed on the screen if ‘up ahead places’ was turned on.
That results in your 3 selected features cluttering up the map. But you can set custom searches instead, so I have 3 custom searches : xxx, yyy, zzz
And that keeps the screen nice and clear while still showing waypoints.
I don’t know if later Zumos still need this to be set to show waypoints. Showing the collection to which they belong may be enough. I haven’t tested that - I still set my searches to xxx, yyy, zzz categories - unless I need (say) petrol locations. That gives access to an animated list showing the nearest, direction and price which can be handy.
