garmin express installing wrong mapos to zumo xt

now dare i ask if its wise to install the maps to the sd card?

Good question. I am not that adventurous. The XT is designed for its main map to be installed in local storage so I wouldn't consider installing it to the sd card. It would be interesting to here the opinion of others.

Looks like Garmin Express didn’t complete the map install properly and defaulted to other available maps instead. The unlock error could mean the device doesn’t recognize the map as properly installed or licensed. I’d reconnect, choose the reinstall option, and make sure City Navigator is selected. Sometimes it helps to remove existing maps from the device first to avoid conflicts.

thanks for that. i think you are right. i should have deleted all the maps and then done a fresh install

but instead did a reinstall of the 3 maps and only after all 3 had been reinstalled did it work fine.

next time there is an update i will delete all the maps.
