There is no sound setting in the Tread app on your phone, no setting for how to be notified. There is an option to enable notifications for SMS, emails, social networks (WhatsApp, FB Messenger, ...) but there is no option for HOW the notification should sound.

I see only one option: hack Linux in XT3, penetrate the file system and replace/delete the sound file :-)
BTW I have access to .System turned on (long press in the upper right corner of the sound Mixer), but the sound files are not there. :-(

I was thinking that, and yes you can block all kinds of notifications -including text messages - it stops the sound, but the message isn't displayed either !

It seems to be generated by the Zumo when Tread sends it any kind of notification.
Have owned Zumo 550, 660 == Now have Zumo XT2, XT, 595, 590, Headache
Use Basecamp (mainly), MyRouteApp (sometimes), Competent with Tread for XT2, Can use Explore for XT - but it offers nothing that I want !

Yes, the soud is played by XT3 (or XT2, Tread 2, ...), and as they wrote to me from support, there is no way to turn it off.

Hello guys,

I bought a new motorcycle and it came with this Garmin Zumo power cradle, but I'm not sure which version.
Am I correct to assume it is the first Zumo XT?

Thank you for your help

since the new XT3 is direct wired to 12 volt battery source, maybe it would be best to remove that XT cradle and install the new XT3 cradle, that's IF you are planning on getting an XT3, just to be safe
