Needless to say I would like to add that model to TripManager. If there's somebody that can provide the garmindevice.xml file and a few sample trips?

the TripManager software, developed by user FrankBijnen, is designed to work with Garmin Zūmo XT and XT2 devices and is expected to work with the new Zūmo XT3 (or the Zūmo XT2, which is the current direct successor).

In case you hadn't noticed. FrankBijnen that is me FrankB.

I EXPECT that TripManager can be changed to support the new XT3, but the current version will likely not support it. That's why the sample files are needed

Well, there's a surprise. End of February, just in time for the start of the season at Easter.

So - the most pressing questions for me are:

Have they stopped the Tread App from Screwing up the routes - my recent experiments (this last week) suggest not.
Have they sorted out the other issues for the XT3: RUT behaviour for Imported routes; Changing route point names; moving the route and shaping points to a nearby faster road; Removing any missed route points once the route has been recalculated if you are not able to take the suggested turning; fixed the broken track log when RUT behaviour is in progress.

I don't know, but I would suspect not - some of those issues existed on the XT1 and were carried forward to the XT2.

So I wonder what happens with the issues with the XT2 now. Sorry sir, we no longer support the XT2 ?

I think I know what the answer will be. The same pattern of behaviour has happened before - it seems to be an economic model that works for them.

I don't think I'll be biting this time. I think I said that once before - but I'm getting too old for these games - and anyway I've got to learn how to ride with three wheels yet. I've only done 50 miles. The rate I am going, I'm not going to be riding far enough away from home to need a stanav.
Have owned Zumo 550, 660 == Now have Zumo XT2, XT, 595, 590, Headache
Use Basecamp (mainly), MyRouteApp (sometimes), Competent with Tread for XT2, Can use Explore for XT - but it offers nothing that I want !

If I bite it's for the fun of solving a puzzle. Not because my XT1 doesn't work as it should. (expensive puzzle!)
