Good morning;
I've been aggravated by my XT2 repeatedly "syncing" whenever I'm previewing my track or route list. Every 5 seconds or so it syncs, interrupts scrolling and goes back to the top of the list. So, basically I can't peruse my tracks or routes.
I did discover that disconnecting my phone will allow uninterrupted scrolling, which is fine if I don't want to use my phone. uggg!
Just wondering if someone has found the switch to control the constant auto sync "feature"?
I have sent an inquiry to Garmin, waiting for a response.
Thanks
Sync Issue

Re: Sync Issue
Just googled "zumo xt2 constant synching" and it comes up with some information which is:
The issue of a Garmin zūmo XT2 constantly synching (which can cause reboots, disconnections, and general performance issues) is a known problem, often related to a bug in the Tread app's syncing process. The primary solution is to disable the automatic data saving/syncing feature in the Tread app, or use alternative data transfer methods.
Solutions to Address Constant Synching
The most effective solutions involve altering how the zūmo XT2 and the Tread app handle data transfer.
Disable Automatic Data Saving/Syncing in the Tread App The constant syncing often occurs when the Tread app is set to automatically save your data to the cloud/Explore database.
To fix this, you might need to completely remove and reinstall the Tread app on your phone.
During the reinstallation and setup process, when prompted, do not enable the "Save to Explore database" or similar auto-sync option.
You can still use the app for live traffic, weather, and fuel information, but route data will not auto-sync.
Manually Transfer Routes/Tracks via Computer Instead of relying on wireless syncing for routes, you can manually transfer GPX files:
Create or edit your routes using a computer (e.g., in BaseCamp or other GPX editors).
Manually copy the GPX file into the "GPX" folder on your zūmo XT2 device via a USB-C cable connection.
Clear Bluetooth Pairing History and Re-Pair A fresh connection can sometimes resolve handshake issues:
On the zūmo XT2: Go to Settings > Wireless Networks > Bluetooth > Forget Phone.
On your phone: Go to Bluetooth settings, find the zūmo XT2 entry, and select Forget or Unpair.
Restart both the zūmo XT2 and your phone.
Re-pair the devices through the Tread app (not the phone's general Bluetooth settings) by selecting More > Devices > Add Device > Zumo XT2.
Ensure the Latest Software Updates Use Garmin Express on a computer to ensure both the zūmo XT2's software and the Bluetooth firmware are current. Outdated software can contribute to connectivity problems. The Garmin Express download page provides the necessary tool.
Personally I'd try the delete the Tread app, delete the pairings and then re-install Tread, without enabling the explore / cloud option.
