Hi everyone,
My name’s Maxime, I’m a motorcycle enthusiast and a Garmin Zumo user for a few years now. I’m planning a trip to Italy on my bike soon and thought it would be great to share my plans here and get some advice from the community.
My route includes Rome, Florence, and some scenic roads through Tuscany. I’d like to make the most of my Zumo to avoid busy areas and discover less touristy but equally stunning routes.
If any of you have done a similar trip to Italy, I’d love to hear your tips: best routes, must-see stops, city riding advice, or any tricks to fully enjoy the trip while making the most of the Zumo.
Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences!
Maxime

Use Basecamp (mainly), MyRouteApp (sometimes), Competent with Tread for XT2, Can use Explore for XT - but it offers nothing that I want !

Hi and welcome
I;ve only been riding in northern Italy, but they do seem to like traffic cameras, especially around the Dolomites in the built up areas.
This website might give you some ideas: https://www.ride.co.uk/ride-guide-to-italy

You can find a file of fixed radars worldwide, and another of possible mobile radars in Europe, in this Spanish BMW forum. I'll send you the link.
It's a great way to add it to your POI folder when traveling around Europe.

I always take the "Worldwide Fixed Speed Cameras" and "European Mobile Speed Cameras" files with me on trips around Europe. You also hace the Garmin ones, which are usually scarce and sometimes some speed cameras don't even sound/appear.
I hope they help you

Thanks @turbo19 .
Be aware though that the current software version for the XT2 seems to have 'broken' the display of POIs. They alert play associated mp3 files, display any pictures when the perimeter is breached, but the position on the map does not show.
V5.40 works though!
