I answer to myself.

It seems that when a track is synchronized, the Treat app and the XT2 look good. But...

But when I go to the explore website I see that the track is in the unorganized folder even though it looks fine on our mobile and XT2.

This discrepancy between the Tread app and the Explore website causes syncing to not work properly and the XT2 to restart from time to time.

The only solution I have found is to go to the Explore website and manually delete that track from the unorganized folder

I sent a reminder to garmin helpdesk about this issue, and this is the answer I received today:
"Hello,
Thank you for reaching out. I do understand your frustration with the Custom POI's not appearing as advertised. It does look like the 6.10 software update did clear this feature. We haven't forgotten about you, this ticket has been escalated to our Engineers and Field Quality Control team. This issue is still being actively investigated. I apologize on Garmin's behalf that this is affecting your work."

Hello,
Today, 26/09, I received a software update, but the XT2 is still running version 6.10.
Does anyone know what this is about and if it includes any new features? :roll: :roll:

They alert that there is software update when it is something like data files - eg Cyclops. The system software remains the same.
Have owned Zumo 550, 660 == Now have Zumo XT2, XT, 595, 590, Headache
Use Basecamp (mainly), MyRouteApp (sometimes), Competent with Tread for XT2, Can use Explore for XT - but it offers nothing that I want !

I hope you fix once and for all the problem of custom POIs not appearing on the screen and only responding with completely ridiculous questions. They are a permanent disaster. :twisted: :twisted:

At the time, they responded with this nonsense:


If certain custom points of interest (POIs) are not displayed on a device after being transferred by Points of Interest (POI) Loader , and if your custom POIs are categorised, ensure you select the correct category when searching for a POI on your device.

Use POI Loader to reload the .gpx or .csv file containing the POIs.
If you receive an error message, see the FAQs below or visit our Support Centre for more solutions.

If you are using a mass storage device, open the POI folder to ensure it contains a .gpi file for the POIs.
If you are unsure whether your device is a mass storage device, see Related Content for lists of devices that use mass storage mode.
Some locked POI files may have an associated unlock file (.unl). Check the source of your POIs to see if this file is necessary.

I reported the fault on 29 June 2025.

I pointed out tot hem that POIs worked perfectly well on v5.40 of the software. It was version 6.10 that stopped them from working - and I rolled back my system software to v5.40 to verify this.

ON 1 September 2025 they told me:

We have opened a new investigation which will be used to determine the cause of this issue which we are looking into currently. Using the information provided they will test and reach a suitable resolution which will then be supplied to you directly by email.

We cannot provide a time frame for this process as it depends on what is discovered during the investigation and what is required to resolve the issue


My Reference number is 30458259K1.

I know that other people have complained as well.

Please contact them again. So will I - I don't understand why front desk are telling customers to jump through hoops when they have opened a new investigation.

Today I received a software update for the XT2, but even after installing it, version 6.10 still appears.
Does anyone know if there are any new features?
