Salut, je suis heureux d'être tombé sur ce forum, cela fait maintenant presque 3 mois que je lis les différents article posté ici, et je peux dire que l'on retrouve beaucoup d'info très utile.
Mon XT2 acheté en décembre 2024, fonctionner très bien jusqu'à la mise à jour 6.10, à partir de ce moment là, catastrophe, redémarrage intempestifs qui rendait la conduite très dangereux, plus de POI personnalisés, bref tous les problèmes cités sur ce forum.
En découvrant ce forum d'entraide, une solution simple à tout résolu, revenir à la version logiciel 5.40, merci le forum.
Je reviens d'un road-trip de 5000, 13 pays traversés (Belgique, Luxembourg, Allemagne, Autriche, Slovénie, Croatie, Bosnie-Herzégovine, Monténégro, Albanie, Macédoine du Nord, Italie, Suisse, France), et avec ce retour au logiciel 5.40, tout c'est très bien déroulé, aucun redémarrage et POI personnalisés bien pris en charge.

Glad that the downgrade fixed the issue.

Garmin inform me that they are working on a solution. But they have told me that sort of thing before. I am not holding my breath.

I'm curious though. In France they had a law that you could not have a satnav which warned you of speed cameras, and some friends have told me that they have been checked by the police to ensure that it is turned off.

Have they recently introduced laws which say that just turning off is not good enough - the feature must not be there at all ?

That is the only reason that I can think of that Garmin may have turned off POIs - because the speed carmera warnings have gone as well.

Garmin don't provide speed camera data for France as it's illegal to use it, that of course doesn't stop folks adding 3rd party speed camera information.

Thanks @sussamb - I can put that theory into the bin then ! If that isn't the case then hopefully Garmin will fix what stopped working in v6.10 fairly quickly.

Pour info, votre forum apparait pour moi tout en français, je ne dois rien traduire, c’est pour cela que j’écrit naturellement en français, suivant l’appareil que j’utilise, j’apporterai la traduction anglaise traduit par google.

Pour mes POIs personnalisés, qui a parlé de radar, pas moi ?

Un POI peut-être des campings, des cols de montagne, des lieux préférés, etc … , bref cela peut être n’importe quoi.

Au sujet des radars de contrôles de vitesses en France, je rectifie ce que dit sussamb, oui on n’a pas le droit d’avoir des points précis, mais on a le droit d’avoir des zones (l’étendu de la zone est en rapport avec la vitesse).
En Belgique, car j’habite juste à la frontière, les points précis sont autorisés, en Suisse tout est interdit, bref chaque pays à sa règle ou loi.

Cyclope de Garmin gère très bien cela entre les différents pays, je n’ai jamais dû changer quelque chose, n’y jamais vue de contrôle, juste entendu parlé, mais quand on voit certains kamikazes quand ils se font arrêter, la fouille doit être complète.

Yes, I'm aware Garmin provides information on 'danger zones' for France, but these aren't POIs and may or may not be speed camera related.
