How save a TRACK from a Trip created on XT screen

If I create a TRIP on the XT screen (thanks jfheath!) can I then save a TRACK from it somehow?

Would like to display the Track on the screen as I am navigating the Trip (ie the route the XT generates from the Trip Planner).

I don't know of a way to create a track from a route created on the XT. Saving the route before riding it will prevent RUT and, should a recalculation occur, allow you discard any resulting changes by restarting the route.
