New at tracks

Travelling from Norfolk to Portsmouth via M11-M25, ended up in the wrong lane, went miles out our way, but very pretty.
It was very hot, but luckily the traffic was light (Sunday afternoon).
Question:
Does autozoom work with tracks? or is it just poor?
I have had poor results with autozoom on routes(5 road options, had to manually zoom to find right road), but this was a first time using a track.

AFAIK, autozoom does not work on tracks. Tracks do not provide navigation instructions so I don't see how the XT could know when to zoom. As for following routes, autozoom works, but I have yet to figure out why it decides to zoom in or why it decides to zoom out. I use the - and + buttons very frequently when riding in urban areas because it just doesn't reliably zoom in when I need it, nor zoom out when I don't need it.
