I'm having a bit of difficulty working this one through. I'm working on: GMRS -->Packtalk --> ZUMO with my cell phone connected to my ZUMO (only).
ZUMO + Cardo works just fine, no complaints. Cardo + GMRS apparently works fine. But when I try connecting the GMRS to Cardo (as phone 2), the ZUMO picks that up and dumps the Cardo in favor of the GMRS for the mic/headset in the Bluetooth settings. I don't even have the ZUMO powered on when I pair the comms to the GMRS, but somehow it thinks it needs to pair with the thing.
Does anyone else use a setup of this nature? Am I missing something stupid?
Thanks!

Re: ZUMO + Cardo Packtalk + GMRS
Hi and welcome to the forum.
There are two ways of connecting - one is to put the headset at the centre of operations - which means that the zumo cannot get all of the info it needs from the phone.
The other is to put the Zumo at the centre of things. All phone calls go through the Zumo. But you dont get to issue verbal commands to the phone (which in my opinion is a good thing). BT music from phone does not work particularly well - it gets broken up - I think by passing BT devices in cars - cos it works perfectly at home. So I play music if I want it using the on-board MP3 player on the Zumo. Voice control is still available for skip, back, stop and start - as long as the Zumo is already playing something.
The edge does have two phone channels. You have to tap one of the buttons twice when first pairing to get the second connection. Its hidden in the full manual somewhere. Impossible to find by looking through the section headings, but its there if you read through all of what it can do !!
I missed it - cos I tried looking for it. I found it when I read about doing something that I didn't want to do !
I have never paired the phone to both the headset and to the Zumo to the headset. I tried a couple of times - but didn't really expect it to work. I was half expecting feedback or delayed echo feedback.

Re: ZUMO + Cardo Packtalk + GMRS
I've got 'most' of that working. The Zumo and Cardo work together properly. It's when I try adding the GMRS radio (as a 2nd phone to the Cardo) where things go sideways. I guess I'll keep plugging away.
Thanks!
