Latest XT2/Tread software version
Re: Latest XT2/Tread software version
I completely agree with you.
I reported the problem to Garmin at the time and even sent them some test files they requested, but I've only received a couple of emails saying they're working on it and will let me know by email once they have any news, but nothing at all.

Re: Latest XT2/Tread software version
To help with expectations:
I think it was @jfheath who originally reported the RUT issue to Garmin years ago. I later provided Garmin with lots of info to reproduce the issue and even videos of the issue occurring. Garmin eventually claimed that it is intended behavior. viewtopic.php?t=2904
I reported the issue of the Tread app making dramatic changes to routes with shaping points about a year ago. Others have also reported it. I sent Garmin support a large number of emails over about 3 months before they finally told me that the issue was sent to their engineers. They later indicated indicated that they hope to have a fix sometime in 2025. viewtopic.php?t=3007
My experience is not unique.
I don't know why they call what they do customer support.
Help and work-arounds for most issues can be found on this forum however.

Re: Latest XT2/Tread software version
And they seem to completely ignore that faster roads is not always the fastest route between two points, which up to the 595 Garmin seemed to understand. This then, I think, causes a few of the problems with Tread and shaping points that move to a "faster" road as that is the road it has decided it wants to go along.
Re: Latest XT2/Tread software version
I believe the issue with routes being duplicated when deleted has been resolved with this version of the Tread App. Could someone please confirm this for me?turbo19 wrote: Wed Jul 23, 2025 5:15 pm Another update for Tread App Android today:
2.11.32 (07.21.2025)
They don't seem to be in a hurry with the XT2 update.
Previously, when you deleted a route in the Tread App, it would remain in the "Unorganized" folder in the Explore cloud. Now I see that when I delete routes they are no longer in the "Unorganized" folder in either Tread or Explore web.
It seems they've fixed something. Let's see if we get an update and the POI issue is resolved.

Re: Latest XT2/Tread software version
I had reproducibly observed that there are sometimes copies of trips (Trips are in XT2 Device localy stored Routs) in the Zumo XT2 device. There is also a thread about this here.
If this was the actual cause of your problem, this is definitely not fixed.
The fact that copies are created when deleting is possibly a misinterpretation.

Okay, thanks. We'll have to wait for the XT2 update.proofresistant wrote: Wed Jul 23, 2025 11:57 pmI had reproducibly observed that there are sometimes copies of trips (Trips are in XT2 Device localy stored Routs) in the Zumo XT2 device. There is also a thread about this here.

Re: Latest XT2/Tread software version
I have the feeling, as you say, that when I sync a route for the day with Tread on XT2, every hour or two, it crashes and restarts.proofresistant wrote: Wed Jul 23, 2025 11:57 pmI had reproducibly observed that there are sometimes copies of trips (Trips are in XT2 Device localy stored Routs) in the Zumo XT2 device. Could this bug be for the reason you mention?
