Over the years of using my XT I have got in the habit of selecting Map before Go! when I have loaded a route. Usually it shows route/map so I can double check it looks OK. However, when I select Map the screen is blank apart from the -+ etc. If I just press the Go!, no map shows, just a couple of favourite 'hearts'. The map doesn't show until I press start.
Thins is a new issue, has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks
map not (initially) showing on xt when checking route

Verify the status of Settings|Driver Assistance|Route Preview.
I have the box checked and I can see the preview. There is a slight delay after pressing Map, which seems to be a little longer if I'm using a map on the SD card, or if the route is in an area without a detailed map.

That hasn't worked unfortunately, but thanks for the suggestion.
Although that box wasn't checked, all it shows when you are about to start the route is route info such as distance, stops etc.
The map/route still does not show when I press Map, not until I press Start.

I also have this same issue!
The map is not loading if you zoom out but is ok when you zoom right in
The is regardless if you are looking at a route or just looking at the map and wanting to pan about
This is since the latest map update

Re: map not (initially) showing on xt when checking route
I have just fixed mine by going in to the developer settings clicking on Developer Info then Memory then clicking on Nonvol Statistics and using the three lines menu and clicking clear Nonvol
But doing this totally resets the Zumu XT and clears all data and has to be set back up as if its a new unit

Hi Stu
Sorry I missed your post. I also had the issue since the update, but wasn't sure if it was a coincedence.
I ended up going to the Garmin help pages and doing a reset which has resolved the problem and everything is ok now back to normal. Didn't do the reset quite the same as you by the looks of it and bit of a nause setting up again, but at least it works ready for Normandy next week.
Didn't have to reload the maps though.
Note: A master reset will erase all favorites and will restore your device to the default factory settings. To back up your data see Backing up, Restoring, or Transferring Saved Data on Garmin Automotive Devices. Custom points of interest will remain on the device.
Touch Settings
Scroll down and Touch Device
Scroll down and Touch Reset
Touch Delete Data and Reset Settings
Touch Yes
