Can't update maps on ZUMO 660

Garmin won't discuss this with me as they do not support the 660 any longer.
I cannot update. When the process starts, it consistently freezes at 17.3%. I have a 32G Sandisk card in the unit which has worked for years.

Any help appreciated.

BTW I am 77 yr old non tech guy so please reply in simple human terms. Thanks

Are you able to use Express to download the map to your mac? If so you can then install it to your device using BaseCamp.

I believe that is what I have tried. This method has always worked in the past.

I start with Garmin Express and am told there is an update available. With Zummo hooked up to my Mac via USB cable, I follow the instructions to install update. The installation begins running but always stops at 17.3%. At first the dialogue tells me I do not have a compatible card but if I hit "TRY AGAIN" it begins to run the install.

I plan to try to use a different Sandisk card and/or try using a PC here at the center. Any other ideas.

Is that what you were referring to? Anyone else wanna be the detective?

No, choose the option, under Map Options in Express, to install the map to your Mac. Does that work? If so you can then use BaseCamp to send the map to your device. However if you have access to a PC you could try that first.
