Reading is an art! I missed some of your remarks.
karltimber wrote: Tue Jun 17, 2025 1:33 pm My issue is it's not transferring anything over so nothing to work with.
TripManager can do the transfer from Windows to the XT and XT2. I can not do the calculation. As the title of this post is 'XT cannot calculate route' I assumed calculation is/was the problem.
karltimber wrote: Tue Jun 17, 2025 1:33 pm Do you think i have too many maps clicked ? what is the full name on your map ? I don't have "CN 2026.20 Euro".
'Too many'. I dont think the nbr of maps matters a great deal, if the maps are not routable. It does matter if a map is 'routable'. It is routable when it has road information in it, needed to calculate a route. You should only have 1 (one) routeable map active for any area.
CN 2026.20 Euro is my abbreviaton for "City Navigator Euro NTU 2026.2", the standard Garmin supplied map for Europe.

Ok,
I think I have it fixed.
I had too many maps selected - ticked.
I had all these ticked - CN EUROPE NTU (FOURSQUARE), TOPO EUROPE CENTRAL, TOPO EAST & WEST, CN EU NTU (PARKOPEDIA), EUROPE DEM, CN EUROPE NTU (NORTH & SOUTH)

So I only have - CN Europe N & S and Foursquare selected now.
I do my usual - MRA - export - garmin-drive and the route transfers fine and saves as a trip. :D

I tested a few maps - and got the transfers but "failed on the trip transfer" possibly because the Foursquare (POI) was not there.

so will test again later, I delete files as I go and retest.

I don't have Foursquare loaded - I must have got rid of it during an experiment.

I have CN Europe NTU 2026.10 All North (and All South)
Topoactive PS, Europe Central, West and East.
Europe DEM

The NTU maps are navigable. DEM is the Digital Elevantion Map which gives you the 3d views.
Topactive contain navigable roads trails and walking paths and a load of other stuff derived from free Open Source Maps (OSM).
I have never know these interfere with the routing od the NTU maps, but its not a bad idea to untick them in MyMaps if you are having issues.
Mine are all ticked.

I'll upload 2026.20 and reinstall the link with Drive to my XT1 and 'spare' phone. See if I can reproduce the issue.

Franks comment about Trip Manager. is well worthy. I wasn't going to go into it but the XT1 displays some really annoying recalculation habits - which in unknown areas can be really confusing. There are a few tricks that you can carry out to make it behave itself. Using Trip Manager is one of these.

But your route should load anyway regardless of anything else.
Check you avoidances as has already been mentioned.
I'll set off Express downloading the latest maps.
Have owned Zumo 550, 660 == Now have Zumo XT2, XT, 595, 590, Headache
Use Basecamp (mainly), MyRouteApp (sometimes), Competent with Tread for XT2, Can use Explore for XT - but it offers nothing that I want !

Ok 2026.20 maps installed.
Drive installed.
MRA route saved as gpx 1.1 Track, Route, POI onto my computer
gpc file emailed to my phone
Phone opens email
Selected GPX file, Drive selected to open it.
Drive asks me to confirm to send it to the XT
XT receives route, puts the route in the Trip App and tracks in the track app.
GPX file is actually placed in the Internal Storage/GPX folder. shared_from_phone_06-18-2025_10_57_27_063.gpx
The gpx file contains all of the route points (3 of them) and the track contains all of the track points (hundreds of them).
(That is as it should be).
Route loads, calculates and Go! responds with a route from my desk across Irish sea to the start of your route.

I cannot reporduce your problem.
Maybe one of your map files is corrupt ? Try ticking each of the ones that you unticked to see if the problem recurs.

Or maybe the route transferred incorrectly. Did you re-transfer it ?

Just re-tried that simple test one and works fine.
Plus a more detailed one and fine too.

will play around with the other maps at the weekend.

Thank you very much for your time and testing. appreciate it.

Karl.
