XT deletes the tracks automatrically after 14 days

Post by conehead »

The archive files in GPX\Archive are deleted after 14 days automatically.
Is there a possibility to change the value of 14.
background: I want to travel without a PC longer than 14 days and I want to keep all the archives
Thanks in advance, Thomas

My advice would be to use the Track recorder, from the main screen. This way you can save one (1) track per day. The tracks saved that way dont get deleted automatically (IMHO)
Using the wrench tool in the track, you can 'share' it to an SD card as a backup. (If you have an SD Card installed)

Thx for your recommendation. But you need to start the track manually - and I think I will forget this quiete often :-)
My workaround is to save the recorded data at the end of the day as a track (stored in \GPX folder). And after that I'm going to delete all recorded data.

You can also share the automatically created tracklogs to SD Card. But there will be more than one per day usually. So that's more work.

BTW: I dont know how to change the 14 day setting

For the rest here also in english:

I'm doing quite the same as i also often forget to start the track recording! The tracks saved under this condition (and with track recording) will NOT be deleted at any time from the Zumo XT itself, they are staying as long as the user deletes them!

Also, AFAIK, the Zumo XT do not delete the tracks in the archive after 14 days - it has a defined space for this tracks and if you record more than this space serves, the Zumo XT delete the oldest track at first and so on...
Bye, Robert :)
