Garmin Express 7.24.0 has been released

Garmin Express 7.24.0 has been released.

Release notes:

• Removed toast notifications indicating an update is available for legacy PND devices.

• Fixed an issue with users getting a server error when attempting to register TruSwing devices.

• Fixed an issue with not offering an install or reinstall option for TOPO Active maps.

• Fixed an issue with displaying incorrect mapping when a user is wanting to remove a map.

• Fixed an issue when a user attempts to install a map but would get taken back to the device dashboard.

• Fixed an issue with the Removable Storage option not appearing on the Manage Maps screen.

• Other minor bug fixes and improvements.

I have installed and done an initial test of GE 7.24.0. This is what I check during my initial test:

- Does it recognize my XT? Yes
- Did the launch at startup option get enabled? No
- Did the keep running in background option get enabled? No
- Does the option to install maps to computer exist? Yes

Just a 'heads up' to let you know that when I started my XT following the GE check and disconnection from the PC, it did the 'do you want to import' prompt even though I had not transferred any new routes. I answered in the affirmative out of curiosity. It was the route in temp.gpx. That route had been imported, ridden, and deleted many weeks ago. The mechanism that keeps track of routes already imported from temp.gpx must have failed. I was not able to duplicate it so this is just an FYI.

I don´t know why, but I can only reinstall the maps in the XT2, but not in the PC

to check what my XT does in Garmin Express, I noticed that under Map Updates Available, when I click on Map Details, the map details screen shows Options, when I click on Options, that's where I see Install Map to Computer.

Normally the option is there, but in the case of the XT2 and the Express version 7.24.0.0 that option does not appear to install on the computer.

I remember Express showing 3 options on installing new maps, 1. to computer only, 2. to device only, 3. to both computer and device.

are these options still available on the current version of Express 7.24.0 ?

With this new version I can only reinstall the maps in the XT2. There are no the other options

Installation to Zumo XT and installation to PC are separate steps in Express 7.24.0.

I have the same problem: Map Details, Options only shows "Reinstall Map".
